Rental equipment terms

These terms define the procedure by which SIA HH Family design (Reg. No. 40203552675) rents out star‑type tents, beanbags, tables, a mobile bar, and other company‑owned equipment to legal entities and private individuals.

Each renter is informed about these terms before receiving the rental items, and the terms become binding from the moment the equipment is handed over for use. The equipment must be set up and used exactly as instructed by the rental provider.

1. Full payment for the rental equipment is collected at the time the items are issued. The renter must pay the rental invoice before receiving the equipment. Only timely prepayment guarantees the reservation of the equipment.

2. The renter and the provider mutually agree on the place and time of equipment pickup and return.
3. Equipment can be picked up and returned at the SIA HH Family design address (“Mieriņi 2”, Sējas pag., Saulkrastu nov., LV‑2142), with the pickup/return time agreed in advance.

4. If necessary, we provide delivery of the equipment to your chosen event location. Delivery costs are calculated individually for each order, based on the distance from the SIA HH Family design address (“Mieriņi 2”, Sējas pag., Saulkrastu nov., LV‑2142).

5. Rental items are provided to the renter without the right to resell, gift, pledge, disassemble, separate components, or sub‑rent them to other persons.

Star Tent Usage Rules

1. Setup: The tent must be set up exactly as instructed by the rental provider or as shown in the video tutorial (please request the video tutorial from the provider).

2. It is forbidden to pierce the tent fabric with sharp objects, hang heavy items from it, or damage the material in any way. The placement of decorations must be agreed upon with the rental provider in advance.

3. When renting two or more Star Tents at the same time, a handover and return act must be signed by both parties.

4. Use in windy conditions: A Star Tent can withstand wind speeds up to 30 m/s when additional anchors are used; however, using the tent in strong winds is not recommended, as it may cause injury or damage to the tent or other equipment. The maximum recommended wind speed for using and staying under the Star Tent is 15 m/s.

5. In rainy or windy conditions, a responsible person must periodically check the tent stakes. When the ground becomes wet, stakes may loosen due to wind, increasing the risk of the tent collapsing.

6. The equipment must be returned in the same condition as it was received. The tent must be dismantled and packed into the bag in the same order as it was taken out, without damage or missing parts.

Other Equipment Usage Rules

1. Textile items must not be placed near open flames or in areas where they may come into contact with hot objects (campfires, sparks, cigarettes, grills, etc.).

2. The equipment must not be subjected to excessive loads, intentionally damaged with sharp objects, or harmed in any other way.

3. If the equipment is used outdoors, attention must be paid to ensure that rain, snow, storms, or other conditions do not cause damage. The equipment must be placed in a suitable location to avoid harm.

4. Rental equipment must be used responsibly and handled with care.
If damage occurs during the rental period, the appropriate damage category will be applied, resulting in repair costs that must be reimbursed to the rental provider.

5. Irreversible damage: If the equipment can no longer be used properly, the renter must compensate the full value of the product.

6. Medium damage: Damage that does not prevent use but requires repair after the rental period. Repair costs will be calculated individually based on the extent of the damage.

7. Minor damage: Damage that does not significantly affect usability. Usually no penalty is applied, depending on the severity.
